Frozen Fish
Poor little buggers, lying among the ice crystals with blank stares, awaiting the next meal. The next meal for people, that is.
Finding ourselves at the top of the food chain is a blessing we don't consider everyday. The helplessness of our prey, the cold end they meet are also thoughts that probably don't cross their minds.
This poem takes another look at the plight of delicious fish on our plates.
English
Frozen fish
Freeze me
Silent farewell song
Black holes of eyes wide open
An eternal posture
Can not bear to look back
There's no longer a story to tell
Why explore
Instant end to life
Who has the right to choose
Facing the sky or the earth
The same still pose
Not afraid of the cold
Holding each other this way for a moment
From this point on no more wear and tear
Performance of a sacrificial ceremony
Meet in heaven on a plate
No prayer no regrets no dreams must endure
Because we are just fish
